Interamerican Development Bank
IDB is the largest financial institution for Latin America. It funds economic and social development projects led by private and public entities, helping countries eradicate poverty and provide opportunities for lower-income families through education and healthcare.
IDB funds large-scale energy infrastructure projects in vast territory extensions across South America. Many of these projects are located in regions with limited road access, and monitoring project performance and construction progress is a big challenge.
Design and develop a software solution that can efficiently and accurately monitor the performance and construction progress of IDB-funded large-scale energy infrastructure projects located in South America’s vast territories with limited road access, overcoming the logistical and geographical challenges posed by these regions.

Patagonian and IDB designed and built the solution from scratch. We led a discovery process where we involved IDB and countries’ government representatives, contractors, and other organizations with the idea of including every point of view and defining an excellent user experience.
Patagonian led a product discovery process, including representatives of all user types, allowing IDB to incorporate every point of view and ensure client satisfaction at the finish line.
Patagonian developed a dashboard to monitor large-scale infrastructure projects. These projects are supervised using drones to overfly zones and capture pictures and thermal imaging. This images are converted into an easy to navigate map on the platform
