Digital Advertising grew 17% in the United States in 2019 and is expected to grow at the same pace for the next five years. Video ads lead the format race with 26.5% growth in 2019. This growing space accounts for more than 10 billion dollars per year in spending.

Rhebus is a marketplace that allows users to distribute and monetize their video content, without paying feeds to other providers. Its development has the capacity of bear high traffic volumes, and let the clients introduce announcements in their video content to monetize the publicity.

The challenge

Rhebus commissioned a tool to help them organize and optimize their content distribution efforts, together with an internal workflow that would enable them to define and control distribution strategies per channel.

Objective

Develop an easy to use, robust solution that would allow Rhebus to grow within some niche verticals (e.g., food, health, fitness) and target the distribution channels, focusing mainly on over-the-top services such as Roku or Amazon.

 

SOLUTION

Patagonian built a Single Page Application making it fast and responsive while providing an excellent interactive experience. The new, leaner data platform was adapted to Rhebus’ unique business needs. Around 5000 pieces of content are being managed, accounting for ~1TB of data.

  • Discovery

    Our team, led by our PO and our Tech Consultant, got involved in the business and technology performance with Rhebus leadership. Together, they found out that the product that Rhebus had was not exactly what they needed. A tailor-made solution was the most appropriate course of action.

  • Development

    After a couple of design sprints, what started as a simple maintenance service turned into a new product development: We collectively decided on a more flexible, leaner, and cost-effective solution.

Results

Patagonian built a fast and responsive Single Page Application with an excellent interactive experience. The new, leaner data platform was adapted to Rhebus’ unique business needs. Around 5000 pieces of content are being managed, accounting for ~1TB of data. Patagonian currently provides the tool’s maintenance.
