Senior Business Analyst (Bogotá)

The Senior Business Analyst works closely with a product team as a Scrum Product Owner and collaborates with Product Managers and users to define and prioritize software requirements. This individual will be responsible for leading the execution of technology projects and will work closely with internal and external users to support evolving needs. 
This role relies heavily on written communication to analyze and specify product requirements to clearly scope and implement right-sized technology solutions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to understand current challenges and opportunities.
- Develop and propose strategies for system improvements and enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize business requirements.
- Translate requirements into user stories, with defined acceptance criteria in order to configure, deploy and maintain software solutions.
- Evaluate the current state of existing systems in relation to future needs and develop a long-term feature roadmap that drives continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation. This includes project plans, schedules, technical specifications, reference guides, and user documentation.

Qualifications
- Experience in finance, banking, capital markets or other enterprise applications within the financial services industry
- Hands-on, technology project execution experience, specifically the development of software as a service products.
- Proven experience with quality assurance concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Clear understanding of system integrations and API concepts
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and business requirements.
- Strong ability to dissect complex situations to troubleshoot and propose solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, speaking to technical and non-technical business users
- 5-7 years of work experience in a business analyst, product analyst or product manager role
- An undergraduate degree in a science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or finance.
- Systematic and analytical problem-solving ability.
- Ability to deep dive into data, identify and quantify opportunities to drive design of sustainable improvements and solutions. 
- Appetite for change and pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved. 

Nice to have
- Data analysis and reporting experience with a working knowledge of SQL
- Experience with BI tools such as Looker or Power BI
- Experience working at growth stage startups
